From the supplier: The American Frozen Food Institute has confirmed its opposition to proposals made by the U.S. Customs Service regarding 'front panel' regulations on the placement of signs indicating the country of origin of imported frozen produce. AFFI argued that the rules impose undue financial burden upon frozen produce importers and may create precedents for imported products in other industries. In addition, produce exporters may retaliate against the US.

From the supplier: Big corporations as well as the federal government are initiating moves that aggravate the conditions of workers. The merger between US Bancorp and First Bank Systems Inc has led to the layoff of thousands of bank employees. While US Bancorp CEO Gerry Cameron received millions of dollars in severance pay as a result of the merger, ordinary workers are being dismissed in other companies without enough compensation. The government is not helping the working poor either. The US Congress has approved a tax and budget plan that would only benefit big business rather than the middle class.
