European Internet Accessibility Observatory: The European Internet Accessibility Observatory (EIAO) was founded in September 2004. Their main purpose is assessing the accessibility of European web sites and participating in a cluster developing a European Accessibility Methodology.
Over half (51 percent) of all Europeans will be online by 2007 but the region will continue to be characterized by regional disparity with an average Internet User penetration of 68 percent in the Nordic countries compared to an average of 41 percent in Southern Europe.

By 2007, European online music sales will be worth €2.3 billion ($2.0 billion), accounting for 17 percent of the total European music market. Subscription will outpace downloads by 2003 as consumers seek the most cost-efficient, low-maintenance way of managing their online music purchases.
